Sign me up to sample all the holiday cooking. They sounded great. And doing absolutely nothing comes easily. I might skip Lessons in Chemistry if that is OK. And please tell Regular to leave editorial issues to Zoepuck.

You got to sample the chili! And I think you might like Lessons in Chemistry more than you think?! There’s some great narration from their pet dog that I think you’d appreciate

Hi Julia! I actually don’t have a favorite pita brand, but I often find that I prefer the size + texture of a naan or other flatbread, even if a recipe calls for a pita. Hope that helps!

I also did a ton of cooking over the winter break and tried out a bunch of new recipes. I have saved but not cooked the chickpea stew. Your recommendation gives me an impetuous to make it. I have made penne a la vodka, but I really like this recipe because of the baking of the tomatoes. It would be a real game changer. Thanks for the suggestions!

Hi Lissa! Would love to hear which of your recipes over winter break were winners. And the baked tomatoes really get so jammy and packed with flavor. And you can’t beat the smell in your kitchen!

Many of them were new meat recipes like we had Salmon Coulibiacs for Christmas dinner which just happens to be what was served at our wedding reception. But we served a chopped winter salad with carrot-ginger dressing that kale, radicchio and napa cabbage in it. It is from Food & Wine. Then we made a lasagna that Nana would have approved of because it was made with bechamel and no mozzarella or ricotta, pork and artichoke brown-butter lasagne with caper pangrattato from a British website called delicious.
